BTCCSquare news:

Ledger, the French cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer, faces renewed security scrutiny after a third-party data breach exposed customer information. The incident stems from a compromise at Global-e, an e-commerce platform handling international transactions for Ledger.com purchases.

Unauthorized access to Global-e's cloud systems revealed customer names and contact details, though payment information and cryptographic keys remained secure. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT brought attention to the breach after affected users shared notification emails from the payment processor.

This marks the latest in a series of security incidents for Ledger since 2020, raising questions about vendor risk management in cryptocurrency ecosystems. The company maintains that only customers processed through Global-e's systems were impacted.
